Garage Door Installation & Repair Technician
Position Summary
The Garage Door Installation & Repair Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial garage doors, garage door openers, gates, and related components. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
Install new residential and commercial garage doors.
Install and program garage door openers and smart access systems.
Diagnose and repair broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, hinges, panels, and other hardware.
Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation.
Follow company safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of garage door installation or repair experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience with torsion spring replacement and opener installation.
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Comfortable working on ladders and in various weather conditions.
Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 Certification
Experience with LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, Linear, or similar systems.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Construction Superintendent

Structural Engineer
Employment Type: Part-Time | Project-Based Contract
Project Overview
Golden Rise Contracting is seeking a licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) with demonstrated experience in warehouse pallet racking systems to provide engineering design, seismic calculations, and final stamped certification for a public works warehouse installation project in Sacramento, CA.
This project includes installation of new standard pallet racks, push-back racking systems, anchor replacements, and seismic anchorage verification.
Important: We are seeking California PE to provide full stamped rack engineering package for public works warehouse project.
Many rack engineers prefer fixed-fee engagements, and we welcome a clearly defined lump sum proposal covering the full scope of engineering deliverables.
Scope of Work
- Review warehouse layout and rack configuration
- Provide stamped structural calculations (California PE required)
- Design for seismic compliance per California Building Code (CBC)
- Provide anchorage and base plate calculations
- Coordinate with manufacturer specifications (Unarco / Spacerack or equivalent)
- Provide stamped drawings and calculation package for permit submission
- Support permit review process (if required)
- Conduct or certify anchor torque inspection
- Issue final engineered compliance letter/report upon completion
Required Qualifications
- Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Demonstrated experience designing pallet racking systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- California Building Code (CBC)
- ASCE 7 seismic standards
- Warehouse rack anchorage requirements
- Experience with push-back racking systems preferred
